Oleson Elementary School Playground
We Build It and They Played!
Much appreciation to the Professional Bail Bondsmen of Harris County and the George and Mary Josephine Hamman Foundation.

Oleson Elementary serves over 800 children and is located in an extremely low-income area of north Houston. Their playground situation is so grim, their special needs children spend recess time sitting on a bench watching their able-bodied peers play. The playground equipment is not large, or sturdy enough to a accommodate medical aid devices such as wheelchairs or walkers. Be An Angel is now accepting donations to build a new barrier-free playground for the students of Oleson Elementary.

Barrier free playground projects have been an enormous success and have exceeded all of our expectations in terms of its benefits to the children. It allots for increased mobility, which in turn is an excellent way for the ongoing development needed that their immobile bodies require.
