Katy City Park - Barrier Free Playground
Twenty-five ago, none of the wheelchair-bound students could participate in recess with their able bodied peers. One of the first major projects for Be An Angel was the construction of barrier-free playgrounds allowing all of the students to play together, side by side.

Be An Angel Fund has constructed 24 barrier-free playgrounds in Houston and surrounding areas. These specially designed playgrounds allow special needs children to play alongside their able-bodied peers.

Barrier free playground projects have been an enormous success and have exceeded all of our expectations in terms of its benefits to the children. Barrier free playgrounds allot for increased mobility, which in turn is an excellent way for the ongoing development needed that their immobile bodies require.
